Corte di Valle is a winery and countryside resort in the Chianti hills, just outside of Florence. The main Villa of the estate dates back to the beginning of the 19th century, presenting the typical features of Florentine architecture. The project involved the renovation of the interiors, to set a new kind of exclusive hospitality embodying the spirit of Tuscany countryside. The restoration of historical features, like the vaults and the terracotta floors, has been carried on together with a meticulous mending and integration process based on local materials, like Serena stone and cotto variations. The furniture has been carefully designed and selected with a sort of wabi-sabi approach, mixing precious items and rough finishes, to reach comfort within the typical purity of countryside living.
